In the beginning I tried to make everybody enthousiastic for the Spanish draughts (checkers) game and played a lot of games. On the other hand I gave simultaneous exhibitions at schools.






























However, it became quickly clear to me that the best way to promote the game was to write books about the game. Therefore, I had  contact with very good players in Spain and took note of their game strategy. Apart from that I studied carefully the whole history of the Spanish draughts (checkers) game that took me many years and came to the conclusion that the draughts game was a Spanish invention around 1495.




No doubt that I became quite popular in Beniel, a village near to my factory at Zeneta of the province Murcia.
